Kenzie's Laugh

So the other day, Kenzie and I had gotten the mail. When we got in the house, I had propped her up on couch and started fanning her with a piece of mail. I was able to catch it on video. She laughs like this all the time now. It is so fun.

Last weekend we had our last wedding of the season (yeah!...is it okay to say that?). Aunt Becky looked beautiful. It was a great day. Kenzie also got her second tooth that weekend.

Cougar Fever Has Hit

So I thought I was going to do better at keeping things updated.... Well, it's that time of year and Cougar Fever has struck our home, or at least one member of our family. Jared woke up on the first game day of the year and raced in to get Kenzie dressed. You can see the final result below. Of course, I cringe and have to use all my willpower to let her stay in those clothes even long enough for a picture. She is adorable in them though so what can I say besides, "sorry, Kenzie...Go Aggies!!!".

I did eventually get Kenzie dressed in the attire of the best school in the state, and although he sometimes struggles to admit it, even Jared is an Aggie and is proud when she wears her Aggie shirt.

Besides our in-family rivalry, other great things that have happened--Kenzie's first tooth finally came through. It is the bottom left tooth and is so cute. She handled it pretty well. I am loving that she is less slobbery now that it is in. It won't be long and she will be chowing down on rice cereal.

We also had the wedding of my very good friend Marianne. Kenzie was a trooper, staying in a dress all day long. We now know the best places on Temple Square to feed a baby if anyone ever wants to know. I had to post this picture because I think it is so adorable. A princess and her daddy....

Life is going great for us. I've pretended to become a little more domestic and, after almost a year of being in our house, have finally done some decorating and hung some curtains (even one that I made). Jared is loving only having to mow the lawn now that it is in--just in time to make it possible for him to attend or watch every BYU game without having to feel guilty for not being out working on the yard. :)

It's About Time...

Well, somehow we are already through August and I haven't posted a thing. The time just goes so fast. I keep seeing everyone else's updates and have been reinspired and am rededicated. August has been a great month. I'm kind of getting sad to see summer wind down.

Kenzie had her four month check up on Wednesday. She is weighing in at 12 pounds and is 24.5 inches long. This weekend she also rolled over for the first time--from back to front on Friday and then from front to back on Sunday. We keep thinking that she is teething, but I guess she is just slobbery because no teeth are coming through.

We've had two family camp outs this month, one with the Christensens' and one with the Adams'. Thankfully, neither of them were "roughin' it" too much. Cabins at Heber Valley and Grandpa and Grandma's back yard make camping a breeze. We really had a great time at both camp outs.

This month, we have also been to both, the Morgan and Summit County Fairs. You can't beat a good county fair! :) Kenzie also had her first experience of being babysat this month. Aunt Karlee was awesome enough to meet us at the temple and watch her for the hour while we were in the temple for Jared's cousin's wedding. It went well. I think leaving your child for the first time, no matter how short the time, is harder for the parents than the child!

Another interesting event of this month is that Grandpa and Grandma Adams have done a property swap and, as of this weekend, will be staying with Kyle and Bonnee until they finish a new house in Porterville. We are excited for them. Their new property will have a river running through the back yard so we will get to do a lot more fishing. Grandpa has also been saying that he plans to get a pony for the grandkids so, after all of the work of building a new house is finished, it looks like lots of fun times in Porterville!

The Dry Farm

On the 24th of July, Kenzie had her first trip to the dry farm. She loved hanging out in her seat and playing with her favorite toy--"ducky". I love this picture!
