January

So, once again, I am asking...Where does the time go? Somehow January has come and gone. It has gone quickly, but I can't say I'm sad to see it go. Every day that it is light when I wake up and is still light when Jared gets home, my heart sings because it means the days are getting longer and Spring is really coming!! I can't wait to get outside again and not have to be bundled from head to toe to keep from freezing. We have had a bunch of snow and not only do we (by that I mean Jared) have to shovel what falls from the sky, we also have to frequently shovel the drifts that blow in the driveway and dig people out who get stuck in the drifts on our road.

Kenzie turned nine months this month. She is very healthy, just mini. At her check up, she only weighed 15.1 lbs. She may be small, but she is getting very independent and opinionated. Kenzie has become a pro at peek-a-boo and will play it with any blanket, shirt, or piece of laundry she can find. She can get anywhere she wants go, even though she isn't walking yet. She thinks it is a really fun game to crawl up me when I sit on the floor. She is getting her top front teeth now (it is about time, her gums have been swollen for months). :) She loves to eat most things that she can get in her mouth, especially if she can feed herself.

We have had a fun time with family this month, as my sister Katee, her husband Trent, and their boys came out for a few weeks while Trent shadowed a doctor in Utah. Trent will graduate in May and they gave us the good news while they were here that, if all goes as planned, they will be moving to Portland. Yeah! That is so much closer than Cleveland. We had a great time while they were here.

The slide show above has pictures of our January events.
