Kenzie's Third (and final) 1st Birthday Party

So, maybe I posted these in the wrong order, but this is the third and final party for Kenzie's first birthday. On Saturday, after the BYU spring game of course, we had the Christensen fam together for sandwiches and cake and ice cream (I mean Coney's frozen custard). I finally did a decorated cake for this party...fun to make. We ate, opened more presents (did I say spoiled??), had cake, and then watched Alvin and the Chipmunks while the kids played. Thanks Christensens for a great party!

The cousins doing "Heavy Heavy Hang"--they were so nice to not bump her on the head. :)
Not to get too sentimental, but the last year has gone so fast. I have loved watching Kenzie as she has grown and gone from a baby to a toddler. She is the joy of our lives. We love you Kenzie!
(P.S. She hasn't "grown" too much---at her one year check up, she only weighed in at 15.4 lbs. She is healthy, but miniature!)

The day of the party, I also had a primary party in the morning, but between parties, we were able to finally get the garden tilled so we could plant. We planted peas on Monday! I'm excited to have my first garden. We'll keep posting on how it goes. Pictures to come.

Kenzie's Second 1st Birthday Party

So on her actual birthday, we weren't really sure what to do because she had already partied with the Adams' and was going to be partying on the weekend with the Christensens, so we decided to take her where every kid wants to go for the birthday...McDonalds!!! The nuggets and fries were a hit. If you don't take into account the couple fighting at the table next to us or the irate customer who stood and yelled at the cashier for 5 minutes, or the fact that Kenzie is way to small to play on the toys, we had a great time. Thank goodness we have a whole year until we have to go back!

Kenzie's First 1st Birthday Party

Kenzie turned one last week! Let's just say she was very spoiled by everyone and had multiple birthday parties to celebrate. The first party was in Morgan with the Adams fam the weekend before her birthday. She had a great time--opened presents and ate cake for the first time. We took a million pictures, but here are just a few. We took so many in fact, that my brother said we took more that day than they have taken of their 3 month old in his whole life. Thanks for a great party!

A Great Book!

So, I just finished this book, The Peacegiver, by James Ferrell. An incredible book! It gives such a neat, deep, profound perspective of the Atonement. As I read, I was almost embarrassed that I had never thought of the atonement in those ways. Very powerful. I highly recommend it.
